IDPs submit resettlement reminder

IMPHAL, Dec 2: IDPs, endorsed by the COCOMI, today submitted a memorandum to the Governor, reminding him of the commitment made by the Government during the meetings on June 30, 2025 (with MHA officials in New Delhi) and July 3, 2025 (at Raj Bhavan, Imphal) that all IDPs would be resettled by December 2025.
It also reminded Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla that only 30 days remain for the Government to honour its commitment.
Through the memorandum, the IDPs appealed to the Government to issue a clear resettlement timetable, start immediate arrangements for safe return and rehabilitation and ensure security and dignified restoration of displaced families.
