Laii Circle drivers reconstruct, improve road

IMPHAL, Dec 2: The Laii Circle Drivers’ Union carried out a massive one-day social work programme along the stretch from Vaosiichii to Laii in Senapati district, demonstrating exemplary community spirit and collective responsibility.
The initiative witnessed an impressive turnout with over one hundred drivers volunteering their time and effort to improve the section of the road, other public infrastructure and support the welfare of the Laii Circle community.
To ensure effective execution of the work, the union deployed two JCB vehicles and one dump truck, enabling road clearance, levelling, and reconstruction of the stretch from from Vaosiichii to Laii.
In a statement, the Laii Circle Drivers’ Union has appreciated MLA Losii Dikho for extending 'generous financial support and showing unwavering commitment to the people of Laii Circle.'
His contribution played a pivotal role in the smooth and successful completion of the initiative, it said.
The Laii Circle community has also expressed 'sincere appreciation' to all drivers who participated in the social work programme.
The social work programme has not only improved the essential road connectivity but also strengthened unity and cooperation among residents, said the community.
