THOUBAL, Dec 2 : A 60 year old man was killed in a road accident at Babu Bazar along Asian Highway 102 in Thoubal district today around 7 pm.
He was hit by a red car (Tata Punch), according to reports culled from the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Soibam Kesho, a resident of Kiyam Wangmataba.
It is reported that the car was coming from Thoubal side.
The car fled from the area, said the locals.
A 7 year old child was also killed when a 407 mini truck knocked him down at Kairenbikhok in Thoubal district at about 4 pm today. The driver of the mini truck fled leaving the vehicle.
The deceased child has been identified N Nungshithoiba of Kairenbikhok Mamang Leikai. Police have seized the mini truck.
