69th NSG Sepaktakraw Manipur U-17, U-19 boys and girls in semis

IMPHAL, Dec 19 : Manipur U-17 and U-19 boys and girls registered quarterfinal victories in the 69th National School Games Sepaktakraw to advance to the next stage today.
The tournament is being hosted by Rajasthan in Jodhpur under the aegis of the School Games Federation of India.
Manipur U-17 Boys reached the semi-final with a 15-4, 15-6 quarterfinal win over hosts Rajasthan today.
They had earlier finished Group A winners by defeating Madhya Pradesh 15-3, 15-5 and Punjab 15-5, 15-5 in the league round.
U-17 girls meanwhile booked their semi-final ticket with a 15-8, 15-11 win over Maharashtra today in a quarterfinal clash.
They had beaten Telangana 15-5, 15-13 and Jharkhand 15-3, 15-8 to finish group runners up in the league round and earned the quarterfinal ticket.
The U-19 Boys’ team, meanwhile, overcame Uttar Pradesh 15-9, 15-13 in a competitive quarterfinal match to seal their place in the semi-finals. They had secured a 15-8, 15-6 win over Telangana in the league opener before getting better of Madhya Pradesh 15-9, 15-7 and Delhi 15-9, 15-13 in the following matches and qualified for the quarterfinals.
The State U-19 Girls’ team on the other hand prevailed 15-10, 15-9 over Bihar to cruise into the semi-finals.
The girls had beaten Jharkhand 15-11, 15-9 and Delhi 15-7, 7-15, 15-13 to finish Group league runners up and qualify for the quarterfinals.
