MBC, AMESCO extend greetings

IMPHAL, Dec 20: As Christmas day nears, Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) has greeted people of the State.
"Christmas is the celebration of God's greatest gift to humanity's deepest need. It is the celebration of God, the Creator, becoming part of His creation, a human being to bring fallen humanity and God together again. Without this divine intervention, humanity would never have made it," said MBC in its message to the people.
Christ's coming also seeks to build a new humanity marked by love and unity among the Nations. The chief purpose of the birth of Christ, therefore, is to bring reconciliation between the righteous God and sinful humans, and to remove the walls of hostility and separation among Nations and tribes, MBC added.
"May this Christmas inspire renewed hope, love, and unity among all. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!" greeted the MBC.
All Manipur Ethnical Socio-Cultural Organisation (AMESCO) too has greeted the people, especially Christians, and wished for the Christmas to remove boun-daries between communities and foster peaceful coexistence.
