Security forces destroy 42 acres of poppy

IMPHAL, Dec 20: Security forces destroyed 42 acres of poppy plantations at the hill ranges of L Simol, Jangnomphai and SP Ngaimun areas Kangpokpi district today.
During the drive, security forces also destroyed 20 huts, 15 packets of salt, 5 Kg fertilizers, 5 litres of herbicides and 5 Kg of poppy seeds, said police.
From December 16 to 20, security forces have destroyed around 550 acres of opium poppy plantations.
