IMPHAL, Dec 21: For peace and normalcy to be restored in Manipur, people must forgive each other and shed differences, said Thongju AC MLA Th Biswajit today.
He said this on the 44th foundation day of Rising Sun Club, Thongju Waikhom Khongnang.
Conflicts occur in every part of the world. Many of them have been resolved through peaceful dialogues and reconciliation. The conflict here must also be resolved through dialogues, he said.
While the Government of India has assured that Manipur's integrity will remain intact, people and all the stakeholders here must find solutions to the conflict, he added.
Biswajit said, "We shouldn't focus only on the problems. Instead we must focus on finding the solutions to the issues."
People must also learn to forgive each other and forget the past, he said.
Biswajit asserted that during his tenure as the PWD, RD & PR Minister, German Road was even recognised and included in all of the PMGSY projects.
Biswajit also clarified that he attended the inaugural function of the Manipur Sangai Festival out of respect for the Governor who had invited him.
"Also, I thought all the other MLAs would attend the event. Among the MLAs, there was no resolution taken to avoid the event," he said.
Floral tributes were paid to the photographs of late members of the Rising Sun Club.
