Imphal Book Fair enters 8th day

IMPHAL, Dec 22 : The 32nd Imphal Book Fair 2025 entered the 8th day at State Central Library Complex, Imphal on Monday.
The Fair is being jointly organised by the Manipur Library Association (MALA), several NGO-run public libraries and the State Central Library under the Department of Art & Culture.
Today, an Open Quiz Competition was conducted on the theme, “Cheitharol Kumbaba”.
Premananda from Sainik School, Pangei was the quiz master of the competition.
After a battle of wits and a display of impressive knowledge, Team LUPKHUBA LUP  (Wahengbam Ajay Singh, Sidananda Sarangthem and Yumnam Goutam Singh) secured the 1st position; while Team LUPLEN LUP (Md Sakil Rezvi, Md Sahid and Moirangthem Ganguli Singh) bagged the 2nd position; and Team CHINGI CHINGCHA LUP (Khundrakpam Robinson Singh, Khomdram Roshan Singh and Hemjit Yumnam secured the 3rd position.
Tomorrow, a Capacity Building Programme on “Functioning of NGO/VO run Public Libraries” will be held, chaired by H Rajendra, retired Senior Libray & Information Officer, NIELIT, Akampat.
