U-19 Boxing team trial on Dec 30

IMPHAL, Dec 23 : The Manipur Amateur Boxing Association (MABA) is set to conduct State U-19 teams’ trial on December 30 in view of the National Selection Trial scheduled to be held from January 19 to 23 at ASI, Pune ahead of the World Boxing Future Cup 2026 tentatively scheduled in March next year.
Medallists of the 7th Youth Men and Women National Championships and 6th Junior Boys and Girls’ National Championships born between November 14, 2008 and December 31, 2009 are eligible to participate directly in the National Selection Trials, said MABA in a press release.
For men, the trial will be held for 5 weight classes- 47-50 kg, 50-55 kg, 55-60 kg, 60-65 kg, 65-70 kg while for women, trial will be held for players in 5 weight classes- 45-48, 48-51, 51-54, 54-57, 57-60, it said.
Boxers intending to take part in the trial should bring along Indian Passport, Birth Certificate, Aadhaar Card, and Age Estimation Certificate, it said while adding that pre-trial weigh-in will be held from 1 pm to 4 pm on December 29.
