BSC-A seal 2 wicket win over YUCC in Veteran Cricket

IMPHAL, Dec 27 : BSC-A, Brahmapur Lalji Lakpa Leikai posted a 2-wicket win over YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel Leikai in a Group A match of the ongoing 22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament.
YUCC, who opted to bat first after winning the toss, added a competitive total of 180 runs for 9 wickets but BSC-A eased to the target in 29 overs with 2 wickets left to score courtesy of half century knocks from Tarun 50 off 57 and Robinson 75 off 57.
Bidison 56 off 42, Raja 40 off 44, and Sibananda 25 off 36 had earlier led the scoring for YUCC in the first innings that saw Thomas pick three wickets (3/26) and Robert (1/28) and Rajibkumar (1/33) claiming a wicket apiece for BSC-A.
Manikumar (3/29) and Sibananda (2/41) shared 5 wickets for YUCC in the second innings but their efforts were not enough as BSC-A fought their way to the target despite losing a flurry of wickets late on.
