5th MNCA Superplate Tournament Firdos bowls KSDO to 7 wicket win over FORCE CA

IMPHAL, Dec 27 : Kh Firdos produced an impeccable bowling performance to enjoy a six-for and helped KSDO, Kyamgei notch up a 7-wicket win over FORCE CA, Kshetrigao in a Group A match of the ongoing 5th MNCA Superplate Tournament at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong.
KSDO chose wisely to field first and bundled out FORCE CA for just 77 runs in 20.3 overs by riding on Kh Firdos (6/18) who picked 6 wickets including FORCE CA’s Ziad Khan 13 and Arif Khan 29 who were the only two double digit run getters for the team in his spell of 6.3 overs.
Lakimbur (1/14) and Sangomshumpham Shah Nawaz (1/19) also picked a wicket apiece for KSDO in the first innings before Md Raish Raza 28 off 51 and Kh Firdos 20 not out off 45 sealed the victory in 22.2 overs with 7 wickets left to spare.
Khusru Pravez (1/20), Fajirul Haque (1/12), and Md Islauddin (1/7) shared a wicket apiece for the Kshetrigao side in the innings.
Kh Firdos was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College ground, Blue Hawk, Khurai beat NCA, Ningthoukhong for their first win in two Group B games.
NCA opted to bat first after winning the toss but were dismissed for 139 runs in 33.3 overs by Blue Hawk who eased their way to the winning 142 in 21 overs with 4 wickets left to spare.
Donny 4/23, D Saheer 2/26, and A Guniram 2/25 shared a bulk of 8 wickets for Blue Hawk in the first innings that saw RK Rojeeson 27 off 31 and K Roshan 23 off 26 lead the scoring for NCA as N Jackiechan and Boinao claimed a wicket apiece.
Mutum Sudhir then anchored with an unbeaten 34 off 40 to seal the victory for Blue Hawk with N Jackiechand 18 not out off 15 after Becker Roy added a brisk 33 off 19 balls by hitting 6 fours and 1 six and A Guniram added 25 off 22.
The win came despite Roshan Konthoujam’s three wicket haul for NCA (3/29) as three others picked a wicket apiece.
Donny who led the Blue Hawk bowling attack was adjudged player of the match.
