SDC, YPHUC emerge victorious in 10th MNCA Plate Tournament

IMPHAL, Dec 27 : SDC, Laipham Khunou beat RRCC, Churachandpur by 132 runs as YPHUC, Lalambung beat SHADOW by 29 runs in today’s matches of the ongoing 10th MNCA Plate Tournament 2025-26.
In the Group A match staged at Moijing Public Ground, SDC earned their fourth win in 7 matches to keep their semi-final hopes alive by defending a commanding total of 243 runs for 8 wickets. Th Arvind 37 not out off 28 balls, Th Momocha 44 off 24, and Narendra 41 off 34 led the scoring for SDC in the allotted 30 overs after they opted to bat first. SDC then bundled out RRCC for 111 runs in 24.5 overs thanks to efficient bowling performances from N Rajiv (3/26), Arunjit (3/26), and Th Arvind (2/13).
Sanasam Ruby (3/37) and Md Irfan (2/31) earlier shared 5 wickets for RRCC before they had a forgettable chase.
Meanwhile at Lairenjam Public Ground, YPHUC ended their five game losing streak by beating SHADOW, Thangmeiband by 29 runs.
Bishworaj Sharma scored a 43-ball 51 to lead YPHUC to 157/8 after they elected to bat first before Amitakanta Saikhom 5/24 and Bishworaj Sharma 4/38 shared 9 wickets to seal the 29-run victory.
Earlier in the first innings, SHADOW’s Sagatpam Telheiba enjoyed a fifer (5/38) but his effort went in vain as S Loyumba 27 not out off 41 emerged the highest run getter for the team in reply.
