10th MNCA Plate Tournament 2025-26 Devendro shines as KCDO trounce SHADOW by 9 wickets to boost semi-final hopes

IMPHAL, Dec 28 : KCDO, Kongpal crushed SHADOW, Thangmeiband by 9 wickets to end the 10th MNCA Plate Tournament Group A campaign with 6 wins and boosted their semi-final hopes.
SHADOW, who won the toss and opted to bat first at Moijing Public Ground were dismissed for 135 runs in 34.2 overs riding on and KCDO cruised to the winning 137 within 13.3 overs at the cost of 1 wicket.
Devendro shone with both the bat and ball as he picked four wickets in the first innings before smashing an unbeaten 82 off 43 balls studded with 10 fours and 6 sixes.
H Sanathoi 30 off 22, Y Manjeet 25 off 58, and Soibam Loyumba 20 off 34 were the leading run getters for SHADOW today in the first innings that also saw Mandingbam claiming  two wickets and three others claiming a wicket apiece for SHADOW.
In reply, Ph Bikram fell to Y Manjeet on 15 before Devendro and Gold 32 not out off 24 took on the SHADOW bowlers to seal the victory.
With the win KCDO, remain strong in second place behind YAC who had also secured 6 wins in 7 matches and have a match left to play against RRCC.
Elsewhere at Lairenjam Public Ground, OSCAR, Paona Bazar ended their Group A campaign with an 8-wicket win over YPHUC, Lalambung. It was the fifth win for the team in 8 matches.
OSCAR bundled out toss winners YPHUC for 122 runs in 30.3 overs and eased to the winning 124/2 in 23.1 overs thanks to 95-run first wicket stand between Thoudam Pradeep 48 of 63 and Indrajit 40 off 64.
Irom Sunny 38 off 36 led the scoring for YPHUC in the first innings that saw OSCAR’s Jawan (2/29), Ph Deepa (2/22), and L Robinson (2/14) sharing 6 crucial wickets.
For YPHUC, Irom Sunny picked both the wickets in a lost cause.
