Arvind Polo Club-A set up boys’ final date with K&MMRS-A

IMPHAL, Dec 30 : Arvind Polo Club-A outlasted New Vision Polo Club-A by 4-1 goals in the second semi-final match of the ongoing 9th Junior Boys’ Polo Tournament 2025-26 at Mapal Kangjeibung today.
With the win, Arvind Polo Club-A set up the title clash on January 7 with K&MMRS-A, who knocked out Arvind Polo Club-B  yesterday in the first semi-final match.
In the second semi-final match staged today, Arvind Polo Club-A and New Vision Polo Club-A riders failed to convert their chances till the halfway mark but Arvind Polo Club-A raced to a 2-0 lead in the third chukker before coming out 4-1 winners by scoring two more goals in the final chukker.
RK Raju found the opener for Arvind PC-A in the 5th minute of the third chukker while W Lanchenba struck the second goal in the closing minute of the chukker.
Amujao then extended the lead to 3-0 by finding the target in the third minute of the final chukker before Lanchenba had his second and team’s final goal in the 4th minute.
Michael scored the consolation goal for New Vision PC-A late in the last minute of the final chukker.
Meanwhile in the 7th match of the women’s polo tournament, Chingkheihunba Polo Club prevailed 10-1 overs MPSC as M Bijenty and Th Tanna scored four goals apiece and M Priya added twice after MPSC enjoyed a 1-0 first chukker lead thanks to N Meenakumari’s 1st minute strike.
