Birth anniversary of NK Sanajaoba observed

IMPHAL, Dec 30: The 89th birth anniversary of Nongmeikapam Sanajaoba was observed today at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace Compound under the aegis of NK Sanajaoba Memorial Trust, Imphal.
The death anniversary function was marked by offering of floral tributes to the photograph of NK Sanajaoba.
Speaking at the gathering, NK Sanajaoba Memorial Trust, Imphal secretary L Jadumani said that NK Sanajaoba was a pioneer of investigative journalism in Manipur.
He also laid the foundation of a new Manipur, Jadumani said.
NK Sanajaoba’s writings were critical and sharp enough to awaken the suffering masses in the aftermath of 1949.
His writings were powerful enough to wake up and motivate the suffering masses to dream for a new Manipur, Jadumani said.
He said that Manipur, considering its present sorry  state of affairs, needs a man like NK Sanajaoba who can motivate and give an impulse to the masses.
