UCC register 27 run victory in Veteran Cricket

IMPHAL, Dec 3 : UCC, Uripok pulled off a 27 run victory against CHAMP, Khagempalli in a Group D match of the ongoing 22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament at Langthabal Public Ground.
UCC raised a total of 161 for 9 wickets in the allotted 30 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat first and defended their total by bowling out CHAMP for 134 runs in 29.2 overs.
Rustum 46, Swami 36 and Helendro 21 led the scoring for UCC in the first innings that saw John (3/17) and Thomas (2/30) of CHAMP sharing 5 wickets.
In reply, CHAMP slumped to 134 all out as Manglem (4/28) and Ashini (3/27) wreaked havoc across their batting line up.
Manglem of UCC who picked four wickets and added 11 runs was adjudged player of the match.
