IMPHAL, Dec 4 : Advocating peaceful coexistence, Thangmeiband AC MLA Kh Joykisan has stated that individuals who attempt to create enmity among the indigenous people of Manipur for political gain must be rooted out.
Today, blankets were distributed to displaced students staying at the Tombisana High School relief camp and Khomdram Selungba School in Thang-meiband, under the initiative of Joykisan and the Thang-meiband Kendra Develop- ment Organisation (TAK-DO).
The blankets were donated by Victous Life Sciences Private Limited.
Addressing the event, Joykisan emphasized the importance of mutual support, saying that people must continue to assist one another until all internally displaced persons (IDPs) are resettled.
Despite improvements, Manipur has not yet returned to complete normalcy, he acknowledged
However, he expressed optimism that the State will soon witness a full return to normal life.
Emphasizing that what the IDPs truly want is to be resettled and restart their lives in a safe environment, he added that the Government is actively working to fulfil their aspiration.
