Office bearers of NPP named

IMPHAL, Dec 4: Former Minister Irengbam Hemo-chandra has been appointed as the National vice president of the National People's Party (NPP). He is also a former Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly.
Hemochandra, who has won the Singjamei AC seat five times (1991 by-election, 1995, 2002, 2007, and 2012), will hold the position until 2028, according to an order issued today by NPP National president Conrad K Sangma. He secured four of these victories as a Congress candidate and one as a member of the Federal Party of Manipur (2002).
Meanwhile, NPP Mani-pur unit president Dr Lorho S Pfoze issued an order yesterday appointing Dr Ph Jilasana Sharma as senior VP, Maibam Dhanabir as general secretary (organisation), and Lakpachui Siro as general secretary (administration) of the Manipur unit.
