Laurels for CAU

IMPHAL, Dec 5 : A video produced by a team of Central Agricultural University (CAU) has won the "Soil in One Minute: World Soil Day Video Contest" conducted by the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations in connection with World Soil Day 2025.
The video titled "One handful of hope" was submitted by CAU faculty members- Dr Sabyasachi Majumdar, Amam Kumar, Dr Laxmanarayanan Muruganatham and Professor Dwipendra Thakuria, College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences, (CAU Imphal) Umiam, Barapani.
Five videos were selected for the final round of voting.
The videos are "The importance of soil in one minute", "Healthy soil for healthy people", "Soil and the city", "Healthy soil, healthy cities" and CAU's "One handful of hope", which received a total of 1060 votes bagging the 1st position.
FAO announced the results of the video contest today.
