A Call to My People

Chongtham Ronikumar
Come out, my native people
Do not hide in distant lands
Where sympathy may fade
And hearts may harden
Not to injure their foreign hearts.

Do you all want to fall
Silent and unnoticed -
As on the day
During the Prime Ministership
Of Late Indira Gandhi
At the brave Golden Temple?

My friend and greatest foe
Do not speak
Against the natural rhythm
Of human freedom
And rising democracy.

Or else,
Your excellencies will be hunted
And caught
Like Osama bin Laden ,
For breaking the harmony rigorously
Of the world order.

Thy great inspirational teacher
Will be broken apart -
Balkanised thoroughly -
As a lesson
To all the respected nations.

And you, my relative,
Do not deceive me .
You are my friend ,
Never my enemy.
This is Dharma
In order to make the finest place.

Let the world study it -
Every nation with a veto
Inside the great premises
Of the United Nations -
So together
We may build
A place of suitable peace
For every creature.
