Orange Festival: "Tamenglong’s Got Talent (TGT) Season 5" audition completed

TAMENGLONG,  Dec 6 : The audition for the Tamenglong’s Got Talent (TGT) Season 5 was held today at the Mini Amphitheater, DC Bungalow, Tamenglong. Organised by the district administration Tamenglong, the audition drew 34 participants vying for a place on the stage of the 18th State Level Orange Festival later this month.
Of the 34 contestants, entries included three bands, one instrumentalist, five dance acts, one violin recital and 24 solo and duet singers. Season IV winner and reigning champion Eleibe Riamei performed as a guest singer during the event.
The auditions were adjudicated by a panel comprising Namlalung Gangmei, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Nungba and a muscian Blessing Kamei. The judges evaluated the performances and selected participants who will represent Tamenglong at the State Orange Festival.
Tamenglong’s Got Talent forms part of the State Level Orange Festival, scheduled for December 17–19, 2025. Selected participants from today’s audition will begin competing at the festival on December 17, with the grand finale slated for December 19.
Deputy Commissioner Dr L Angshim Dangshawa; Kachamthai F Gangmei, CEO, ADC Tamenglong; Lanmiyo Luikham, Superintendent of Police; Paul Nangsha, SDO Tousem, and other district-level officers were present at the audition. The event showcased local talent and set the stage for what organisers expect to be a vibrant representation of Tamenglong at this year’s Orange Festival.
Authorities have assured that extensive planning and coordination across various departments are in place to ensure the smooth functioning of the festival.
The event is expected to attract both locals and tourists, providing a platform to showcase cultural performances, best orange competition for the orange farmers, camping, concerts, indigenous sport activities and foods of different delicacies can also be tasted during this festival.
This year’s Orange Festival is anticipated to be the most successful yet, as it is backed by strong community involvement and extensive preparations.
