MSBA greets Ng Rishav-Kyoveio Vemai pair on winning Sub-Junior Nationals’ bronze

IMPHAL, Dec 6 : The Manipur State Badminton Association has extended greetings to State pair of Ngangom Rishav and Kyoveio Vemai on winning a bronze medal at the 37th Yonex-Sunrise Sub-Junior (U-15 and U-17) National Championships 2025.
In the championship that concluded today at Bhubaneswar, the pair of Rishav and Kyoveio Vemai suffered a 14-21, 12-21 semi-final loss to S Pavan and S Punith to settle for the bronze medal.
Earlier, the State duo got a bye in the Round of 62 before defeating Advait Balakrishnan and Vansh Khedkar 21-6, 21-10 in the Round of 32.
They defeated Nikhil Jaikumar and Kaveyugan KA 21-14, 21-18 in the Round of 16 before defeating Vishnunath Malammal and Javed Rahman 21-10, 21-19 in the quarterfinals to secure the semi-final ticket.
The State duo displayed remarkable skill, coordination, and grit in the week-long event and their bronze medal finish highlights the rising standard of badminton talents in Manipur, said MSBA in a congratulatory note.
MSBA secretary H Sanjeev Sharma also congratulated the duo on their achievement.
MSBA also quoted H Sanjeev as saying- “We are immensely proud of Ngangom Rishav and Kyoveio Vemai. To consistently achieve podium finishes at the National level is a testament to their dedication and the rigorous training provided by their coaches. This medal is not just theirs, but a victory for the entire badminton community of Manipur.”
