10th MNCA Plate Tournament IBSA beat KIYC by 6 wickets for third win on trot

IMPHAL, Dec 7 : IBSA, Yumnam Leikai defeated KIYC, Kshetrigao by 6 wickets for the third straight Group B win in the ongoing 10th MNCA Plate Tournament 2025-26.
KIYC won the toss this morning and opted to bat first here at Lairenjam Public Ground.
They however faced a torrid time in the first innings and ended up collecting 130 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted 35 overs as MK Tamim 2/17, Yengkhom Bhomendro 2/23 and Md Shah Jahan 2/31 led the frugal bowling attack for IBSA.
IBSA, who had beaten PSC and MPA in their first two matches, then cruised to the winning 133 within 21.4 overs as Nandakumar scored a 37-ball 55 (8 fours and 1 six) before Keithellakpam Nelson scored an unbeaten 29 off 61 balls to take the team past the target.
Md Suhail 38 off 69, Md Subhanuddin 24 off 28 and SM Abdur Rahim 22 not out off 23 were the leading run getters for KIYC today before Md Abdul Hamid 2/33 and Mv Md Aman 1/23 shared three wickets in the second innings.
Elsewhere at Moijing Public Ground, YWC, Patsoi ended their two game losing run in the Group A league competition by defeating SHADOW, Thangmeiband by 62 runs.
Asked to bat first, YWC-P gathered 175/7 in the allotted 30 overs and bowled out SHADOW for 113 runs in 23.1 overs courtesy of Laikhuram Jagat (4/21), Bir Raj Nga (3/26) and L Johnson (2/23).
Earlier in the first innings, M Thoungamba 48 off 44, Naorem Dijen 42 off 54, Laikhuram Jagat 19 off 26 and Leichombam Priyobrata 19 off 18 led the scoring for YWC-P before Huirem Sanathoi 29 off 25, Sagatpam Telheiba 28 off 42 and Haobam Chinglemba 16 off 14 registered double digit scores for SHADOW.
