EYDC seal A Keshorjit Memorial Men's Open Football Tourney title

IMPHAL, Feb 2 : EYDC were crowned champions of inaugural Aribam Keshorjit Sharma Memorial Men's Open Football Tournament with a 5-4 shootout win against Singjamei FC following a 1-1 regulation time draw.
It was a neck and neck encounter and Kishan drew level for EYDC in the 19th minute after Singjamei FC had taken the lead through Binoy in the 12th minute.
With the two sides failing to find the difference in the remainder of the game, the winners were decided by penalty shoot-out where EYDC emerged 5-4 winners.
Akbar, Ningaijao, Roshan, Kabiraz and Kishan converted from the spot for the winning side as only Supar, Akash, Chingmei and Ikon found the target for the Singjamei side.
