Dr Anuradha Nongmaithem

This letter is a heartfelt deepest gratitude for the incredible care, compassion, and dedication you all have shown every day as you look after my father (Prof. (Dr) Nongmaithem Tombi Singh during his critical stage in the ICU. I would like to acknowledge the dedicated work you all have done in order to help my father survive the massive heart attack.
My father was admitted to Shija hospital on 15th January 2025. He was in ICU from 15th January to 23rd January 2025 and was shifted to Neuro ward on 24th January 2025 and to Cabin ward on 28th January, 2025 and discharged on 29th January 2025. The sisters in ICU and Ward were exceptional and their duty with unwavering commitment to the well-being of their patients is inspiring. In one of the most critical and challenging environments in healthcare, you bring hope, strength, and comfort to patients and their families alike.
Your expertise, kindness, and ability to remain calm under pressure make a world of difference to those in your care. I have seen with my own eyes the countless hours you all spend monitoring patients, administering treatments, and offering words of reassurance. These are deeply appreciated. My job was only to sit out the waiting chair in front of the emergency waiting space and wait for the visiting hour 9 am to 9.30 and and 4 pm to 4. 30 pm. Those waiting were the most tiring and emotionally draining with continuous prayers from my heart. But you all were constantly looking after my pabung with utter most care, not only my pabung, others too with equal love and dedication.
Dr Rahul Oinam, the way you treated my father as your own father is worth appreciating and I feel for the exceptional care you provided to my father during his time in the ICU and after shifting to ward is worth mentioning. Your dedication, compassion, and expertise brought us comfort during what was an incredibly difficult and uncertain time. From the moment you began treating my father, it was evident that he was in the best hands possible. Your ability to not only provide outstanding medical care but also reassure us with your empathy made a world of difference. Thank you for your sacrifices, your compassion, and the energy you put into every shift. We are deeply grateful for the kindness you extended to our family and for treating my father with such respect and dignity. Your commitment to his well-being, even in the most challenging moments, has left a lasting impression on all of us, especially mine. Pabung is not only precious for us, he is a precious gem of Ema Manipur, one of the finest and rarest scholars of Manipuri literature. You carried us through some of our darkest hours, providing not just outstanding medical care but also the comfort and reassurance that we were not alone in this journey. Your ability to connect with us as a family and offer words of encouragement gave us strength and peace in the most trying times. My prayers are with you as you continue your noble work, bringing healing and hope to so many families like ours. May you always be blessed with the strength, wisdom, and compassion to keep making a difference in people lives.
I must also not forget to acknowledge the power of prayer my relatives, near and dear ones of Pabung have offered for his speedy recovery. Your prayer provides a sense of peace, grounding, and hope that cannot be easily explained but is deeply felt. It is a silent language of the heart, bridging the gap between what we can control and what we must capitulate to faith. Whether whispered in solitude, spoken aloud with others, or simply felt in the depths of the heart, prayer has the power to heal, comfort, and transform. It is a profound reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the limitless possible of faith.
So I deeply appreciate and acknowledge all the well wishers’ prayers because without that it would have not been possible. I am forever indebted to you all for helping my family sail through this hardship smoothly.
I salute all the nurses and team of Dr Rahul Oinam, and management of Shija Hospital, and prayers of all the well wishers of Pabung. Mayam bu hanna hanna Khurumjari, thamoi sang na Thagatjari, Bhakti katchari.
