Yarn Scheme operational now

IMPHAL, Feb 26: The Chief Minister's Yarn Scheme is operational and weavers may approach their district's handloom offices to procure yarn at discounted prices, said Th Basanta, Deputy Director, Handloom. He made the appeal during an awareness programme on Government schemes and financial literacy held at Bamon Kampu Mayai Leikai PYC Community Hall today.
Highlighting the benefits of the scheme, Th Basanta said, weavers must possess weaver cards and yarn passbooks to avail the scheme.
