Shaheed Manoranjan Memorial Football SDC knock out RFCC 4-1

IMPHAL, Feb 4 : Social Development Club (SDC), Samurou outlasted Regular Football Coaching Centre (RFCC) by 4-1 goals in a one sided encounter of the 15th Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial State Open Football Tournament at SAI Turf Ground, Takyel.
SDC were slow off the block today but gradually took control of the game to draw level after conceding a goal before adding three goals in the second half to seal the 4-1 victory.
RFCC took the lead through N Mangal after 27 minutes before Aimson Athokpam put SDC back into the game by netting the equaliser in the 35th minute.
H Rakesh broke the deadlock after 47 minutes and it was Mutum Wanglen who took the honour to add two goals back to back in the 60th and the 88th minutes and completed the 4-1 thrashing of RFCC.
Juvenile declared 3-0 winners
The Disciplinary Committee of the tournament has awarded Juvenile, Tera a 3-0 win in the opening match of the tournament against SSU acting on a protest lodged by Juvenile. The official result of yesterday's match was withheld in view of the protest citing fielding of an ineligible player by SSU.
