37th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo Imphal Riding Club, AR Polo Team-A and Tentha PC Team-A progress into pre-quarters

IMPHAL, Mar 9 : Imphal Riding Club, Lamphel; AR Polo Team-A and Tentha PC Team-A all progressed into pre-quarterfinals of the ongoing 37th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo Tournament with comfortable victories today at Mapal Kangjeibung.
In the first match of the day (round of 32), AR Polo Team-A notched up a 9-1 win over Tentha PC-B as Kh Chandrakumar and Kh Shushilo shared 9 goals.
Kh Shushilo scored across all the four chukkers as AR Polo Team led the first chukker 1-0, second chukker 2-1, third chukker 4-1 before Kh Chandrakumar, who opened his secoring in the third chukker scored four more goals in the closing chukker to seal the game 9-1.
In the second ground, Imphal Riding Club knocked out KRYPHSA-B by 7-2 goals thanks to P Danesh, N Rajan and L Abinash.
Danesh and Rajan scored two goals apiece to hand Imphal Riding Club a 4-0 first chukker lead before Abinash extended the lead to 5-0 in the second chukker that also saw S Suresh pulling back a goal for KRYPHSA-B in the fourth minute.
Abinash and Danesh scored a goal apiece in the third chukker against one scored by Kh Rocky to finish the game 7-2.
Later in the day, Tentha PC-A outlasted Paradise PC-B, Wangkhei by 9-1 goals thanks to Dollar Soram (4), S Sadananda (3) and L Thomson (2).
Tentha PC-A led the first two chukkers 3-1 with Thomson scoring twice and S Sadananda added one before Dollar Soram scored four goals on the trot in the third chukker against one scored by A Janus for Paradise PC-B to make it 7-1.
S Sadananda the scored twice in the closing chukker to complete the 9-1 thrashing of Paradise PC-B.
