4th MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy THAU solidify their position on top with 5 straight victory

IMPHAL, Mar 9 : THAU, Thangmeiband crushed PTCC, Patsoi Part III by 156 runs for the fifth win on the trot in the 4th MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy at Kongba Dhobi Lampak today.
The win also helped them cement their place on top of the 7-team table on 10 points.
Yambem Milan starred with a fifer in this match as THAU subdue PTCC for just 32 runs within 18 overs after they erected a competitive total of 188 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted 35 overs.
Keisham Kalpana produced a masterful knock of 60 off 57 balls (9 fours) besides Milan's unbeaten 25-ball 30, Ahongshangbam Thoithoibi's 33-ball 30 and Usham Robeni's 48-ball 24 to steer THAU to 188 after they won the toss  and opted to bat first.
The innings saw PTCC's Khundrakpam Anjali (4/28 in 7 overs) and Bandana (3/23 in 6 overs) sharing 7 wickets between them as Kh Angoubi (1/46) and Laishram Bigyapati (1/29) picked a wicket apiece.
In reply, none of the PTCC batters registered double digit scores as Milan ran riot on the way to her 5/8 in 7 overs that included 3 maidens. N Monica (1/0), A Thoithoibi (1/12) and K Nonibala (1/3) also added teeth to the THAU bowling attack by claiming a wicket apiece.
Y Milan who starred with both the bat and ball was adjudged player of the match.
