IMPHAL, Mar 9 : UTA were crowned champions of the Asmita City Women's Taekwondo League 2024-25 organised by Taekwondo Federation of India and All Manipur Taekwondo Association at NSA Taekwondo hall, Khuman Lampak.
UTA sealed as many as 6 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals to amass 92 points to emerge on top of the league tournament that was participated by athletes from 10 units.
NSA meanwhile finished runners up with as many as 83 points off 8 gold and 3 silver medals.
For UTA, Soraisham Lamnganbi (U-67 kg), Soibam Tina (-73 kg) and Chanam Lilybala Chanu (+73 kg), Mayengbam Priyadarshini (-46 kg), N Sania (-49 kg) won gold medals as Laishram Binita (-62 kg), Irom Bijaya (-46 kg), S Chaoba Devi (-49 kg), Ningthemcha Lingjensana (-53 kg), U Gunapati (-57 kg), Seliza Naoroibam (-59 kg), Yensembam Abena (+68 kg) picked silver medals for the same unit.
