IMPHAL, Mar 10 : While lauding the Government of India’s initiative to restore peace and normalcy in the State, the Arambai Tenggol (AT) has warned Kuki narco-terrorists and illegal immigrants to respect the Constitution of India.
The ongoing crisis in Manipur has caused great unrest and turmoil in the State and it is a matter of grave concern not only for the residents of Manipur but for the entire Nation, said a press release issued by AT.
The recent ethnic conflict has left a scar on the people and their beliefs, especially on the Hindu and Meitei communities. It is in this time of distress that the Central Government has taken a step towards peace and normalcy.
“As responsible citizens of India, it is our duty to respect and support this initiative”, it asserted.
Lauding Union Home Minister Amit Shah's efforts to restore the religious places that have been damaged or vandalized in the conflict, the AT has urged the State administration to take immediate measures to reconstruct the damaged and vandalized Hindu Temples and Meitei religious places that were destroyed and damaged by the Kuki narco terrorists.
“These sacred places hold great value to our community and our faith, and their reconstruction will not only bring a sense of peace but also a sense of unity among all the communities”, it said.
“We want to convey a strong message to the Kuki narco terrorists and illegal immigrants who are disrupting peace and harmony of Manipur. It is time to shun violence and respect the Indian Constitution”, read the statement.
The Central Government has taken a step towards finding an amicable solution to the crisis, and it is the responsibility of every citizen to adhere to the Government’s directives, it said.
The AT has also warned Kuki narco terrorists and illegal immigrants to stop all ways and means to disintegrate Manipur and any planning to break Manipur's territorial integrity.
The State's unity and integrity are of utmost importance, and any actions that jeopardize it will not be tolerated. Arambai Tenggol will not be a silent spectator if the crisis in Manipur continues, it said.
“We will take necessary actions to protect our land and our people”, AT asserted.
It is crucial for them (Kuki narco terrorists and illegal immigrants) to respect the Indian Constitution and pave the way towards peace and development in Manipur.
“The Central Government's initiative towards resolving the crisis must be respected by all, and it is our duty to extend our support towards it”, AT continued.
“Arambai Tenggol believes that it is the responsibility of every citizen of India to respect and uphold the Indian Constitution. Let us all come together and support the Central Government's efforts to bring normalcy and development in Manipur.
“It is time for us to unite and show our strength as one Nation and one people to fight against Narco terrorists and illegal immigrants. Let peace prevail in Manipur, and let us all strive towards a brighter future for our beloved State”, it added.
