Fact finding team set up

IMPHAL, Mar 11: A fact-finding team consisting of the Chairperson and three Members of the Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) has been set up regarding the death of Thokchom (ongbi) Chingtham (ningol) Matouleibi Devi (40) w/o Th Tomba of Malom Makha Leikai who was found dead on March 7, 2025 at a community pond of Malom Makha Leikai.
The team conducted a spot enquiry on March 10 and held separate meetings with the family members of Th Tomba at his home and parental family members of the deceased woman at Changangei Mayai Leikai, and heard their submissions.
Whereas the fact-finding team has inspected the community pond where Matouleibi was found dead, the MSCW has sought a status report of the case from the SP, Bishnupur, said a press release issued by MSCW Chairperson Thumlip Tiningpham Monsang.
