Hockey Manipur lines up tournaments; urges units to renew affiliation

IMPHAL, Mar 12 : Hockey Manipur has lined up many tournaments as the unified body of the men and women's hockey association looks to resume their activities that were put on hold in view of pending Court cases.
With the closure of the cases, the association is set to organise many tournaments including Dr Kranti Hockey Tournament, Manipur State League, State Super League and other age group tournaments, said Hockey Manipur in a circular.
The association further instructed all affiliated club/ units to renew their affiliation and new interested clubs or units to get new affiliation done at the office of Hockey Manipur at Hockey Stadium, Khuman Lampak from March 13 onwards from 8 am to 10 am.
Considering the problems and hardships the State players had to endure during the 15-year long case period, the association also urged all concerned to join in reshaping the career of the players and to avoid anything that could disturb the functioning of the association.
