IMPHAL, Mar 12 : PTRC, Patsoi Part IV ended their campaign with an 8-wicket win over FORCE, Kshetrigao for the fifth win in 6 matches to qualify for the title clash of the 4th MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy 2024-25.
PTRC lost only two wickets to cruise to winning 85 in 11 overs after toss winners FORCE were bundled out for 81 runs in 28 overs at THAU ground, Thangmeiband today. With the win, PTRC are assured of at least second place finish in the league standing after league leaders THAU and eventually qualified for the final.
Only Rahamatun 25 off 55 and Kh Rukshad 20 off 57 made double digit scores for FORCE as M Chingkheileima (2/1 in 5 overs), Koijam Ranjita (2/18 in 5 overs) and L Linthoingambi (2/16 in 5 overs) led the frugal and incisive PTRC bowling attack.
In reply, K Ranjita took PTRC to 77 before she holed out to Sumeiya Shahni on 46 off 35 for the second wicket. Thokchom Loidangton 23 off 22 and Palujam Kiranbala 6 off 8 produced an unbeaten third wicket partnership to steer PTRC to the winning 85 in 11 overs.
Ranjita who dazzled with both the bat and ball was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, PTCC capped their campaign with a 7-wicket thrashing of Al-Ameen for the fourth win.
Al-Ameen opted to bat first but were bundled out for 85 runs in 31.2 overs as Hijam Sijapriyari (3/12), Khundrakpam Angoubi (2/9) and Bandana (2/9) of PTCC produced notable bowling performances before PTCC eased to the target in 14.2 overs thanks to 34 extras and notable contributions from Irom Shrili 16 not out, Kh Angoubi 14 off 28 and N Inakhunbi 14.
For Al-Ameen, Najiya Begum added highest 39 off 41 before L Langlenthoibi picked three wickets (3/16) in a lost cause.
H Sijapriyari was declared player of the match.
THAU will play AKSDO in the last league match of the tournament.
