SSU beat ASUFII 1-0 as 1st Major L Jyotin Memorial Invitation Football League begins

IMPHAL, Mar 12 : SSU, Singjamei defeated ASUFII, Mao by a slender 1-0 margin as the 1st Major Laishram Jyotin Singh Ashok Chakra (Posthumous) Memorial Invitation Football Tournament 2024-26 kicked off today at Moirang Multipurpose Hr Secondary  School Ground.
The 8-team league cum knock-out tournament is organised by Spear Corps and District Football Association, Moirang under the aegis of the All Manipur Football Association.
The lone goal that settled the Group B opening match between SSU and ASUFII was scored by N Kishan during the stoppage time (90+4').
WAFA, Wangoi will play YSWA, Utlou in the second Group B match tomorrow at the same venue. The match starts at 1.30 pm.
