Found dead

IMPHAL, Mar 25 : An elderly woman was found dead in Waithou Pat, under Thoubal Police Station, this afternoon.
Locals spotted the body and alerted the authorities, prompting a team of Thoubal Police and forensic experts to rush to the scene.
The teams used boats to retrieve the body.
Later, the deceased was identified as Ningombam Ibemu (71), a resident of Thoubal Ningombam Mayai Leikai. It is reported that Ibemu went missing on  March 17 and the family filed a missing report.
The body has been deposited at JNIMS morgue for post-mortem examination, according to sources.
