Elite Cricket : Nawaz shines as CHAMP beat KCC by 3 wickets

IMPHAL, Mar 6: Nawaz's impressive knock of 65 runs helped CHAMP Cricket Club Khagempalli beat KCC Kongba Bazar by 3 wickets in the 9th MNCA W Prahlada & W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2024-25 today.
At Lairenjam Public Ground in the morning, KCC won the toss and elected to bat first to score 151 runs for 10 wickets in 39.4 overs.
Completing the chase, CHAMP knocked a winning 153 runs for 7 wickets in 35.3 overs.
With an impressive bowling and fielding, CHAMP controlled KCC's batting giving little runs.
Nongmaithem Dijaraj Singh (38) scored the most for KCC.
Keisham Mranojit Singh (17), Ningombam Tony Singh (18), Rohen Singh (4), Thokchom Momocha Singh (13), Nameirakpam Arbin Singh (12), Keisham Basantakumar Singh (12), Tayenjam Tomba Singh (2), Wahengbam Somorjit Singh (1), Singthoi Singh Nandeibam (9) and Sunil Salam (3) contributed runs to KCC's score of 151 in 39.4 overs.
CHAMP's Chingkham Ranjan Singh and Md Sultan Karim took 3 KCC wickets each. Md Ahsanul Kabir took 2 wickets. Keisham Kennedy and Md Babu took one wicket each.
In CHAMP's winning chase for the target, Nawaz displayed impressive batting and knocked a massive 65 runs off 78 balls.
Yumnam Karnajit (26), Samir (6), Leikhram Joy Singh (7), Chingakham Ranjan Singh (6), Md Sultan Karim (3), Mohd Ahsanul Kabir (10), Keisham Kennedy (13) and Nongthombam Gulson Singh (4) contributed runs to CHAMP's winning score of 153 runs in 35.3 overs.
Nameirakpam Arbin Singh took 3 CHAMP wickets. Rohen Singh took 2 wickets. Wahengbam Somorjit Singh and Singthoi Singh Nandeibam took one wicket each.
