T-20 Veteran Cricket REYS Nagamapal to lock horns with NAPSA Kha-Imphal in final on March 8

IMPHAL, Mar 6: REYS Nagamapal and NAPSA Kha-Imphal will lock horns in the final of the 12th T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2025 on March 8 at Langthabal Public Ground.
The final REYS v NAPSA clash for the title was confirmed after they beat TCMDC Thongju and YPHU Lalambung Makhong respectively in the semifinals today.
In the first semifinal match, REYS Nagamapal beat TCMDC Thongju by 41 runs.
In the second semifinal match, NAPSA Kha-Imphal beat YPHU Lalambung Makhong by 25 runs.
REYS vs TCMDC
REYS won the toss to bat first and amassed a total of 146 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs.
TCMDC managed to score only 105 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs.
For REYS to reach 146 runs, S Jayenta scored 40 runs off 31 balls.
Boicha (32), Dhaneshor (29), Kenny Ng (9), Th Pyarlal (8), Rajesh (4), Dhawan (3) and Chingkheinganba (1) contributed runs.
N Sanjit, Somorjit K, Kh Bijesh, Damen Karam and L Krishna took one REYS wicket each.
In TCMDC's failed pursuit, L Krishna (30), Damen Karam (20), N Sanjit (17), Th Tarun (12), Somorjit Karam (6) and Kh Bijesh (13) contributed runs.
REYS' Dhawan and S Jayenta took 3 wickets each. Chingkheinganba took 2 wickets and Momo Th took one wicket.
S Jayenta was named the man of the match for scoring 40 runs and taking 3 wickets.
NAPSA vs YPHU
Ibobi Irengbam of NAPSA scored a massive 56 runs off 47 balls and took one YPHU wicket to be named  the man of the match.
NAPSA elected to bat first and scored a total of 162 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs.
YPHU could score only 137 runs for 10 wickets in 18.2 overs.
In NAPSA's winning knock of 162 runs, Ibobi Irengbam (56), Bhogendro (31), Somorendro (21), Ratan (13), Simon (11), Goutam (10) and Premananda (9) contributed runs.
YPHU's Jinta I took 3 wickets. Kumarkanta and Thenthen took one wicket each.
In YPHU's turn batting, only Romio (37), Boiton (30) and Alai Konjengbam (26) displayed fine battings.
Thenthen (10), Dularva Singh (5), Devkumar (5), Arun (7) and Kumarkanta (7) contributed runs, but weren't not enough to beat NAPSA.
Gopal and Bhogen took 2 YPHU wickets each. Ibobi Irengbam, Simon and Ratan took one wicket each.
