MABA to conduct U-15, U-17 team trials for National camp

IMPHAL, Mar 7 : The Manipur Amateur Boxing Association (MABA) is set to conduct State trials for U-15 and U-17 boys and girls on March 14 and 15 respectively at Khuman Lampak Boxing Arena in view of the National trial selections to be held in connection with the upcoming Asian Boxing Championships.
The National trials are due to be held at SAI, NCOE, Rohtak, Haryana from March 30 to April 3 for U-15 boys and girls and from March 21 to 27 for U-17 boys and girls, said MABA in separate statements.
The Asian U-15 and U-17 Boxing Championships are scheduled to be held from April 17 to May 1 at Amman, Jordan, it said.
Boxers born between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2012 are eligible to take part in the trial for U-15 boys and girls that will be held for 15 weight categories while boxers born between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010 are eligible to take part in the trial for U-17 boys and girls that will be held for 13 weight categories, it said.
Weigh-in for both the trials will be held on March 13 from 2 pm to 4 pm, it added.
It further added that the boxers must bear MABA Registration ID, bring original Birth Certificate, update Aadhaar Card, College/Institute leaving certificate; latest Hepatitis B, C and HIV test certificates; and Foreign Passports having 6-month validity prior to April 17, 2025.
