IMPHAL, Mar 8 : AKSDO, sealed their second win in four games of the 4th MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy by thrashing SHADOW, Thangmeiband by 81 runs at Kongba Dhobi Lampak today.
Moirangthem Diana scored a 114-ball 61 and Ninthoujam Taniya scored a 38-ball 35 to inspire AKSDO a total of 176 runs for 7 wickets after they were put in to bat first.
They successfully defended their total by dismissing SHADOW for 95 runs in 26.3 overs as Thokchom Langlen (2/16 in 7 overs), Moirangthem Diana (2/18 in 5 overs) and Kh Lucyrani (2/6 in 3 overs) shared a bulk of 6 wickets for AKSDO. Only Sapam Kebriya 34 off 51 was the double digit run getter for SHADOW in the chase that also saw Khundrakpam Rabina, Laishram Linthoi and Takhellambam Henthoisana of AKSDO claiming a wicket apiece.
Earlier in the first innings, Thokchom Victoria (3/21 in 7 overs) finished with a haul of 3 wickets for SHADOW as Hanglem Priyanshee, Sagatpam Henthoibi and Wahengbam Priyabati picked a wicket apiece.
Moirangthem Diana who starred with both the bat and ball was adjudged player of the match.
