37th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo Universal PC-A, Thangmeiband Youth PC and Black Watch PC cruise into last 16-stage

IMPHAL, Mar 8 : Universal PC-A, Langol; Thangmeiband Youth PC and Black Watch PC, Babupara reached the last-16 stage of the 37th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo Tournament being underway at Mapal Kangjeibung.
Universal PC-A made it to the last-16 stage with a 6-4 win over Seven Star PC, Sagolband this afternoon as P Bung scored four goals alone and O Paikhomba and K Pandit scored a goal apiece.
For Seven Star PC, Th Tiken scored all the four goals across the first, third and fourth chukkers.
In the second match of the day, Thangmeiband Youth PC thrashed LAAMAN PC, Tera by 10-2 goals to set up a pre-quarter final clash with Universal PC.
Yaikhomba and S Saolin struck four goals apiece for the Thangmeiband team in this one sided encounter as M Chaoba and K Jogendra chipped in a goal apiece. Both the goals for the Tera side were scored by A Kishan in the 1st and the 3rd chukkers.
In the third match of the day, Black Watch PC overwhelmed MPSC-C by 13-2 goals thanks to Th Nongpoknganba who starred with 7 goals today. S Bon Bon, P Ojit and A Alex also hammered home two goals apiece for the Babupara team as M Devanath scored a goal each in the second and third chukker for MPSC-C.
