Himalayan glaciers are melting rapidly, reducing the flow of rivers like the Ganga and increasing the water crisis.
Traditional water conservation systems are not given much importance in government schemes. Many industries release wastewater into rivers and ponds, contaminating water sources.
Traditional water conservation systems should be given legal status. Partnerships between scientific institutions, government agencies, and local communities should be strengthened. (To be contd)
