IMPHAL, Apr 17 : Kshetrimayum Ibotombi Singh, a pioneering photographer of Manipur has passed away at 97.
He breathed his last at his residence at Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai yesterday.
A pioneer in Manipur photography, he inherited his craft from his father Ksh Jugeshwar Singh who was a photographer to Maharaja Churachand Singh.
Over the years, Ibotombi collaborated with many renowned personalities including legendary filmmaker Aribam Syam Sharma.
He was appointed as the official photographer of All India Radio (AIR), Imphal in 1967.
