IMPHAL, Apr 21 : Sagolshem bush produced an impeccable bowling performance to seal PTRC, Patsoi Part IV a comprehensive 6-wicket win against KCC in a rain-hit Group E match of the ongoing 3rd MNCA U-19 Men's One Day Trophy at Khudeiband Lampak today.
KCC won the toss and opted to bat first. They however were bundled out for a meagre total of 29.4 overs as Sagolshem Bush (5/15 in 7 overs) rattled their line up and enjoyed a fifer and Yumnam Venson picked two (2/9 in 4 overs) to add more teeth to PTRC's bowling attack.
With rain interrupting the match for a while, the target was revised to 85 in 33 overs and PTRC did not face much difficulty in posting 86 within 11.5 overs with 6 wickets left to spare.
Islam Khan was unbeaten on highest 18 off 28 for KCC in the first innings as Ksh Thoungamba 13 off 26 and Mayangmayum Niyas 11 off 39 emerged other double digit run getters for the team.
Laitonjam Jackson (1/7), Th Priyokumar (1/14) and Naoshekpam Ngambarel (1/2) of PTRC also picked a wicket apiece to disrupt the KCC batters.
In reply, Naoshekpam Ngambarel 26 off 19, Sagolshem Mangal 12 off 16, and Y Venson 15 off 14 provided steady start before Stoneson anchored with an unbeaten 17 off 17 to seal the victory in 11.5 overs.
Niyas returned with the best bowling figures of 3/24 in 5 overs for KCC in this innings as Sana Dolaicha returned with 1/6 in his brief spell of 5 deliveries.
Sagolshem Bush who starred with a fifer was adjudged player of the match.
