IMPHAL, Apr 23 : Y Joykumar, President of the National People's Party (Manipur unit), has urged people to consider whether they should support a political party that relies on a high command or a regional party that prioritizes local aspirations.

The competition was held under the theme  "Can political solution resolve the crisis in Manipur" and the the winners were given a  cash prize of Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.

Apart from political dialogues, other initiatives also have to be taken up to restore normalcy in the State, he said.
He emphasized that political parties must play a crucial role in Manipur's healing process, noting that their role in a democratic Nation is immense.
There can be no governance without political parties, Joykumar continued and added that dictatorship is not the answer when democracy is needed, he said.

Let's not support people who enter politics to do contractual works, he appealed.

He said that Manipur needs a Government that can treat every community equally.
