IMPHAL, Apr 8 : FORCE, Kshetrigao overwhelmed PCC, Mayaikoibi by 9 wickets to complete Group B league stage sweep in the ongoing 1st MNCA U-23 Women's One Day Trophy at THAU ground, Thangmeiband.
PCC opted to bat first after winning the toss but were dismissed for 67 runs in 17.5 overs before FORCE eased to the winning 70 within 6.5 overs at the cost of only one wicket.
Only Okram Yashica 12 emerged the highest run getter for PCC in their innings that saw Barkatun Khanam (3/19 in 3 overs), Farjiya (2/4 in 4 overs) and Rahmatun Khanam (2/9 in 3.5 overs) sharing 7 crucial wickets.
Barkatun 33 not out off 12 then sealed the victory for FORCE with Neha 3 not out after Mehanaz Departed on 12 having gathered 44 runs for the first wicket with Barkatun.
Barkatun was eventually adjudged player of the match.
The day also saw THAU, Thangmeiband securing three of three Group A victories as they trounced YPHUC, Lalambung by 173 runs.
THAU piled up 233/7 in 35 overs after winning the toss thanks to a half century from Usham Robeni (68 off 88: 5 fours) and 70 extras conceded by YPHUC bowlers and restricted YPHUC to 60/8 riding on economical bowling attack led by Hijam Malemkhombi (4/5 in 7 overs) and Naoroibam Sophiya Chanu (2/11 in 7 overs).
For YPHUC, Tongbram Nilky (3/40), L Terina (2/32) and Ch Joyshree (2/38) shared 7 wickets as Nilky 26 off 49 and Joyshree 13 off 68 emerged the only two double digit run getters for the team in response.
Hijam Malemkhombi who enjoyed a four-wicket haul and conceded just 5 runs in 7 overs was adjudged player of the match.
