YPHU beat SGH 2-0 to seal 17th Manipur State League title

IMPHAL, Apr 8 : Young Physique's Union (YPHU), Lalambung defeated Sang-gai Heroes (SGH), Angtha by 2-0 goals to seal the title of the 17th Manipur State League organised by the All Manipur Football Association at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
YPHU had an incredible journey this edition as they finished Group A leaders unbeaten and qualified for the final while SGH lost only once in 8 Group B league matches to set up a final date with YPHU.
YPHU took a slender 1-0 first half lead thanks to Thongam Priyaball's 38th minute strike before Ngoru Semi Moyon hit the decisive goal in the 73rd minute.
As many as 19-teams clubbed into two groups participated in the tournament.
