64th State Level Subroto Cup Porompat Sabal Leikai HS beat Khangsillung Hr Sec School 2-0 in U-17 girls’ tournament

IMPHAL, Jul 13 : Porompat Sabal Leikai HS beat Khangsillung Hr Sec School 2-0 in U-17 girls’ State Level Subroto Mukerjee Football Tournament being hosted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.
Zenia (30+1’) gave the Imphal East team the lead moments before the break at Langjing Turf Ground while Martina scored the decisive goal in the 48th minute.
In the 8th match of the tournament, St Peter’s Hr Sec School crushed Tekcham High School by 5-0 goals courtesy of doubles from WS Phowlphahrin (19’, 23’) and Sankhil (25’, 41’). SR Alphani scored the other goal in the 44th minute.
Later in the 9th match, CT Hr Sec School, Imphal West overwhelmed Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Tengnoupal 17-0 thanks to leading scoring performances from L Seitamala (36’, 44’, 50’, 46’, 49’).
Lakhipyari (3’, 18’,58’) and Aganina (22’, 28’, 40’) also added three goals apiece to set up the big win for the Imphal East team.
Senapati brush aside Bishnupur 6-1, Imphal East prevail 8-0 against Kakching in U-15 Boys competition
Elsewhere at Lilong Chajing ground, Wangoo Hr Sec School of Bishnupur slumped to a 1-6 loss to Mt Zion School, Senapati. D Rahravio (22’, 51’) and Vangao (33’, 53’) scored two goals apiece for the Senapati side in this one sided encounter after the Bishnupur team took an early 6th minute lead through Kh Atush.
In the second match of the day and tourney’s 6th, The Ramananda HS of Imphal East district won 8-0 against Kakching’s Padma Ratna English School.
Ng Shidas (11’, 45’,58’) scored thrice in the team’s big win as S Binodkumar (6’, 19’) added two goals.
In the 7th match, N Bonison (33’) and K Thomas (60+1’) scored to give St Joseph’s Hr Sec School, Tengnoupal a 2-0 win over Khangsillung Hr Sec School, Noney.
Later in the 8th match, Thoungamba scored twice (14’, 31’)  to help AG Memorial Academy, Thoubal seal a 5-0 win against Hundung Kazipphung HS.
U-17 Boys Tournament : Senapati beat Kangpokpi 3-1
The day also saw Saklim Christian Eng School representing Senapati district get the better of Needy Home Academy, Kangpokpi by 3-1 goals at Mini Stadium, Ningombam.
Tantanga put Needy Home Academy ahead after 35 minutes but Pungdi Alvis (37’,60’) scored a brace and Sh Shital Singh added one in the 66th minute to complete the 3-1 comeback win for the Senapati team.
In the second match of the day and tourney’s 6th, Worthem Shimrah (21’, 36’, 69’) scored a treble to earn Little Angel Eng School, Ukhrul a 6-2 win over Maha Union Hr Sec School, Chandel.
In the 7th match of the tournament, Sh Yohenba (63’), M Dhariaraj (70’) and Sh Nungshiba (70+2’) scored to earn TG Eng School, Bishnupur a 3-1 comeback win against Khongjom Standard English School, Thoubal.
In the 8th match of the tournament, Guleiba scored 5 goals alone (4’, 10’, 32’, 36’, 50’) to fashion Diana English School, Imphal East a huge 6-1 win against Maha Union Hr Sec School, Chandel.
