IMPHAL, Jul 14 : The “Annual Function & Installation cum Induction Ceremony of the Board of Directors” for the Lionistic Year 2025–2026 of the Lions Club of Imphal Leimarol, under Lions International District 322D, was held on Sunday at City Hospital & Research Centre, Chingmeirong.
The highlight of the ceremony was the installation of Memyo Ningombi as the president for the Lionistic Year 2025–2026, taking over the reins from Kh Sumiti Devi, who served as president for the term 2024–2025.
With a fresh vision and spirited leadership, Memyo Ningombi pledged to uphold the club’s values of service, unity, and community upliftment.
The ceremony was graced by Th Kesho Singh, immediate past district governor of District 322D, who attended as the chief guest and installation officer.
M Gojendra Singh, past district governor, served as the induction officer, overseeing the formal swearing-in of the new board members.
Also, assuming key leadership was H Phajabi, who took charge as the treasurer, bringing trusted stewardship to the club’s financial affairs.
The event was coordinated under the leadership of S Sanayambi Devi, secretary for the term 2024–2025, and was attended by members and well-wishers of the club.
The installation marked a renewed spirit of unity and reaffirmed the club’s support toward Lions Clubs International’s global mission of reaching 1.5 million members worldwide.
Similarly, an Installation cum Induction Ceremony of the Board of Directors for the Lionistic Year 2025–2026 of the Lions Club of Canchipur Greater was also held at the temporary Lions Service Centre at Kyamgei on Monday.
The ceremony was graced by Th Kesho, immediate past governor; Y Ranjit, RC of Region VI; and Kh Sunita Devi, ZC of Zone XI as presidium members.
Meanwhile, in a grand and inspiring event, the Lions Club of Imphal Kangla officially marked its inception with a “Charter Presentation and Installation Ceremony” held at the NEC Model Farm, Central Agricultural University, Lamphelpat, Imphal yesterday.
The event marked a significant milestone for the newly formed club and its commitment to community betterment. The new club was sponsored by Lions Club of Imphal Greater.
During the ceremony, M Gojendra Singh, past district governor formally inducted the new members and Th Kesho Singh, immediate past district governor installed the club's officers.
The ceremony was attended by members and guests including H Manikumar Singh, past district governor; M Shyambabu Singh, guiding lion; Kh Krishnan Singh, extension chairperson and L Ashok Kumar Singh, president of the sponsoring club, Lions Club of Imphal Greater.
Yambem Premchand Singh, the newly installed president of Lions Club of Imphal Kangla said, “We are excited to embark on this journey of service and look forward to making a positive impact on our community. We are grateful for the support of Lions Clubs International and our sponsoring club, Lions Club of Imphal Greater in helping us establish this new chapter of service”.
S Kumarjit Singh and Lamabam Dhanajoy Sharma were also appointed as the new secretary and treasurer respectively of Lions Club of Imphal Kangla.
