In a remarkable step toward promoting skin health and raising public awareness, BABINA Hospital organised a Free Skin Consultation and Advisory Camp on July 13 and 14, 2025, under the historic IADVL & CD 2025 initiative.
As per a release issued by BABINA Hospital, the camp, initially scheduled for one day, was extended to two days due to an overwhelming number of online and telephonic registrations.
Led by Dr Karam Lokendro, Senior Consultant Dermatologist at BABINA Hospital, the camp focused on skin, hair, nail, and genital health-areas often neglected or misunderstood by the public.
A total of 222 patients were seen during the two-day camp, with 132 and 90 consultations on the first and second day respectively.
Patients not only received free consultations but also benefited from 50% discounts on relevant investigations and 20% discounts on applicable procedures, making quality dermatological care more accessible.
Speaking at the conclusion of the camp, Dr Karam Lokendro said, “Skin health is not just about appearance-it's often a reflection of our overall well-being. We were pleasantly surprised by the huge turnout, and it's a sign that people are becoming more aware and proactive about their health”.
“This initiative is not just a medical event but part of a national movement to promote dermatological awareness and remove stigma around skin and genital issues”, he added.
The event was a part of the IADVL's attempt to set an International Book of Records entry for conducting the maximum number of Free Skin Health Camps across India under its IADVL & CD 2025 programme.
The success of the camp not only highlighted the need for regular skin health initiatives but also reflected BABINA Hospital's continued commitment to community welfare and accessible healthcare.
